The Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce, operating in the area of 25 municipalities of Southern Finland, was established in 1917 as the first Chamber of Commerce in Finland. Currently, it is the biggest Chamber of Commerce in the Nordic countries and one of the biggest private chambers in Europe with over 6 500 member companies. The main function of the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce is to promote interests of trade and industry in Southern Finland.
